A-Blake Entertainment Announces Debut of Blasta Onalaska Music Festival

National, Regional, Local Talent Come Together for Waterfront Event

Deer Park, TX - A-Blake Entertainment announces the inaugural Blasta Onalaska Music Festival ("The Blasta"), which will take place July 7, 2012 at The Waterfront Lodge, Marina & RV Park (located at 371 Navaho Trail, in Onalaska, Texas). Designed to be a continuing celebration of the July 4th holiday, "The Blasta" will become Texas Music central as the lineup features national acts and local favorites. Headlining the event is Beaumont resident and platinum-selling recording artist Tracy Byrd. Also on tap are country music hitmakers Jason Cassidy, Jody Booth and Josh Ward, all who have deep roots in the area, and newcomer Brian Evans.

Situated on the shores of scenic Lake Livingston, a "water wonderland" for residents and visitors who enjoy a variety of activities such as fishing, camping and boating, "The Blasta" is a family-friendly dedication to the surrounding community and a chance for music fans to gather and enjoy the waterfront offerings of The Waterfront Lodge.
"We are excited to be hosting the first of many Blasta Onalaska music festivals at Waterfront," said Mark Budzise owner of the lakefront property. "It's a holiday weekend and we have an exciting day planned. We want everyone to come out an enjoy it with us. The non-stop lineup of Texas talent playing on the hill is incredible! Being a new place, we can't wait to show all the Lodge & Marina has to offer. This a great event for the lakeside community and the surrounding businesses will benefit from the visitors to the area as well."

Texas native and internationally known country music artist Tracy Byrd, known for such hits as "Holding Heaven,""The Keeper of the Stars," and "Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo," headlines "The Blasta" as one of his only performances scheduled in the upcoming year. Since his debut in 1993 on MCA Nashville, Byrd has released more than thirty hit singles that include 13 Top Ten hits. He has nine studio albums and two greatest-hits albums to his credit and has received four gold certifications and one double-platinum certification. For nearly two decades, Byrd has consistently been one of the Top 50 artists played on country radio, amassing nearly 2 million spins since computer monitoring of airplay began in 1998.

Jason Cassidy (A-Blake Records) shares the bill with Byrd and brings his unique brand of "honky tonk with an edge" to the stage. Achieving his first #1 Texas single last fall with the swampy "Honky Tonk Heaven," Cassidy followed up that effort with the national release of "What If," which became a Top 10 single on the Texas charts. The video for the song reached the #1 spot on the CMT Pure 12-Pack Countdown and has been in the Top 10 since its debut in January. Enjoying national and regional acclaim with his debut album MY REDEMPTION, Cassidy is touring with the likes of Eli Young Band, Aaron Watson, Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager, Wade Bowen and more. His next single, "Ride of Your Life," is scheduled to be released early this summer.

Jody Booth (Vigilante Music Group), a favorite son who hails from Livingston, Texas, is a mainstay on the Texas Country scene. Having opened for such noted acts as Willie Nelson, Jack Ingram and Tracy Lawrence, Booth is celebrating a recent #1 songwriting cut with Roger Creager's "I Love Being Lonesome," and is busy touring and promoting his latest CD, HEAVEN AND HELL and its debut single, "Gold Digger."

Josh Ward (Buckshot Records), who is currently watching his latest single "Get Away," climb the Texas music charts, is another local favorite. A former rodeo circuit participant, Ward began singing on the tailgate of pickups at local rodeos before joining his first band in 2003. Now a regular on the Texas Country scene, he is affectionately dubbed "Mayor Ward" at his many live shows.

A native of Deer Park, Texas, Brian Evans (A-Blake Records) will be pulling double duty at "The Blasta." Opening the festival with his high energy stage show and skilled vocals, he returns after dark to host the official after-party at Hookers On The Lake, the restaurant located inside the The Waterfront Lodge.

General Admission tickets are $10 advance and $15 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at Outhouse Tickets by visiting www.outhousetickets.com. Gates will open at noon.
