Tracy Byrd

Tracy Byrd has always been something of a maverick. In an industry where careers are often decided in committee, Byrd has always held fast to his own creative vision and has never been afraid to take the road less traveled. That unbridled spirit again prevails on his newest release, "Different Things." Not only does Tracy continue to deliver no-holds-barred country music, he does so while embarking on a new business model that is setting the standard for artists in today's competitive music industry.

Byrd is the first country artist to partner with Artist 2 Market Distribution (A2M), the Handleman Company's independent distribution arm. A2M will sell and distribute "Different Things" to retail outlets nationwide.

Jason Cassidy

When Jason Cassidy was a kid, he wanted to be a rock star (who didn’t?). But the electric guitar and lessons he got at 13 didn’t take. Country music, however, did.

Inspired by a buddy who could name every country tune as soon as it came on the radio, the competitive Cassidy started listening. “I totally fell in love with it and learned every single song,” he recalls. “Before long, I was the one... who was calling all the songs.”

But it wasn’t until someone heard him delivering a George Strait tune in a karaoke bar that Cassidy’s musical dreams began to take flight. Impressed by his rich, expressive tone and range, a band that had just lost its lead singer approached him about taking the gig; a few weeks later, he was fronting a popular Houston-area country cover act.

And now, he’s fronting his own band and releasing his own album, “My Redemption,” on Houston-based A-Blake Records. The first single, “Sounds Like an Angel to Me,” climbed inside the top 20 on the Texas Music Chart; its followup, “Honky-tonk Heaven,” came to be his first #1 record to date thanks in part to the songs catchy lyrics, Cassidy’s vocal delivery and his hardwork and determination. Cassidy has been visiting Texas radio with his fiddle player Scott "Skittle" Johnson and hitting stages all over the state.

Jody Booth

Texas has produced some of country music's biggest legends, and Jody Booth could well be the next member to join that near-cosmic lineup. With a gritty edge that defies convention and a lyrical vulnerability startling in its honesty, this intense guitar-playing singer/songwriter from the tiny town of Livingston, Texas is hovering on the borderline between regional acclaim and national fame - and he's reaching out for the "big time."

Josh Ward

Josh Ward and his band have a unique style of traditional honky-tonk mixed with Texas Attitude and Good Ol’ Southern Rock. Lead Singer, Josh Ward, Has a unique almost un-touchable voice that grabs your attention. Just a few songs into a set and you will see just why the Josh Ward Band is turning heads everywhere they perform. Josh Ward's influences stretch back to some of the founding fathers of country music like Hank and Lefty, to the outlaws like Waylon and Willie, all the way up to the modern day Texas/Red Dirt music stars like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Pat Green, Wade Bowen and Jason Boland. Add in some rock and blues for a little extra flavor, and that’s what makes up a Josh Ward Show. Josh Ward and his band lean toward the country side of Texas Music, however, a couple times a night they crank it up and get rowdy. Whether its traditional country, old time Rock & Roll, or Texas Music Fans looking for a good time, Josh Ward leaves no one disappointed, and everyone asking for more! Born May 15th, 1980 in Houston, Texas, Josh was raised on country music, although, his first musical influence was old gospel hymns he would sing at church. As a teenager Willie, Waylon, Merle and George Jones and Strait were his inspirations. While riding the high school Rodeo Circuit, Josh polished his guitar and vocals skills while singing on the tailgate of pickups at local rodeos. He joined his first band in early 2003 playing local honky-tonks and bars, giving Josh the stage time and experience needed to stretch out on his own and pursue his life long dream of performing and playing music full time.

Brian Evans

Brian Evans dreams of hearing his music on the radio; as an up and coming country music talent, this is to be expected. Oddly enough though, when he was only six, his only dream was to run a radio station.

“I used a Singalodeon karaoke machine to record shows onto cassette tapes. I arranged CD's by song tempo, wrote up transitions based on the lyrics and just started recording,” Brian recalls. “My parents and the neighbors complained a lot about the noise.”

Growing up in Deer Park, Texas, a town 20 miles south of Houston, Brian was exposed to a heavy dose of country music. Whether it was his grandfather pickin’ the guitar on Saturday mornings or his brother playing George Strait to coerce him to sleep at night, Brian came to appreciate the art of country music.

This love of country music didn’t fade and Brian entertained the idea of performing country songs as he sang in a number of grade school choral productions. He finally got his chance at a solo in the eighth grade; his rendition of “To Make You Feel My Love,” which was inspired by Garth Brooks' version of the song featured in the movie “Hope Floats,” sealed his musical fate.
